Sons of Confederate Veterans
The General Organization of the SCV will be holding a nation heritage Rally each year of the Sesquicentennial of the War for Southern Independence. Below are the locations for each year.

Details will be posted as they become available.
2010 - Charleston, SC- December 2010
2011 - Montgomery, AL-February 19, 2011
2012 - Richmond, VA
2013 - Biloxi, MS /Beauvoir
2014 - Franklin,TN
2015 - Shreveport, LA
Each Division,or State, will be holding one statewide Heritage Event for each year of the Sesquicentennial.

LA- Dedication of Monument to LA troops at the Battle of Mansfield. Mansfield State Battle Park-April 10th-5pm.
        Park is 3 miles south of Mansfield La on Hwy  175

SC-The South Carolina Theatrical Performance and Secession Ball (December 20, 2010) is now accepting ticket purchases on line…….scsecessiongala.org

The Confederate Heritage Trust is currently in the planning stages for what will be a grand and memorable Secession play and Ball. This event will commemorate and celebrate the state of South Carolina for the second time becoming an independent nation on December 20th 1860. The evening will begin with a theatrical play recreating the Convention and the men that cast their votes to remove South Carolina from the union known as These United States. Many of the actors will be local and State celebrities and personalities.
Immediately following the play a grand ball and reception will follow with a joyous night of music, dancing, food and drink. The Charleston Gaillard auditorium will be our venue for both events. As an added bonus The State Archives and History Department will have the original Ordinance of Secession available for all to see and enjoy.The South Carolina Division, SCV, will be one of the Palmetto Level Sponsors. Tickets are limited to 800 total seating….and I believe will go fast!

Sunny South Guards
Military Flag Presentation Ceremony
Culminating on Saturday, September, 17th, this project is a historical re-enactment of the Military Flag Presentation Ceremony from the ladies of Tampa Town to Capt. John T. Leslie and his 100 man company, the "Sunny South Guards".  The unit would be mustered in as the 4th Florida Infantry, Co, K, and assigned to the Army of Tennessee.
